Descriptive writing assignment

Imagine you are in the wilderness and you run across this animal. Your "meeting" may be humorous, scary, or even a blessing.

Next fill out the Imagery Chart and the Figurative Language Chart. In Lesson 9 you will use the information from the charts to help you write a descriptive passage.

1- choose an animal and print out the information about your animal. Bring the print out to class tomorrow.

2- Choose a meeting ground. (will it be scary, humorous, or a blessing encounter)

3- Create 2 charts

b. Figurative chart

Draw a map (on a blank white sheet of paper) of the world the way Columbus thought it looked after he landed in the Bahamas. Use a current map as a model, and don’t forget that Columbus thought he had landed in India.
